Our restorations are extensive, as is our record of completed projects over the past thirty-five years. To date, we have completed seventy-five full restorations, each reflecting the depth of experience, craftsmanship, and accountability that define RARE Aircraft.
Our work with WACO aircraft spans a wide range of models and has earned us a familiar reputation: “You’re the guys who do WACOs.” While WACO restorations represent a significant portion of our legacy, they do not define the limits of our capability.
As early as 1990, our shop was engaged in a diverse mix of restoration and repair work, including Howard DGA wing rebuilding, Beech Staggerwing restoration, Boeing Stearman projects, Great Lakes repairs, homebuilt fabrication, and extensive fabric recover and repair piecework. Simply put, if it needs to be done, odds are we can do it.
Just as important, there are times when the best service we can provide is honest guidance. If another shop is better suited to a specific project or offers greater value for a client’s needs, we are not hesitant to say so.
We are known for completing complex projects under one roof, with consistency, quality, and industry recognition. We are a true one-stop shop. We are not hobbyists supplementing a passion, though those individuals play an essential role in preserving antique aviation. We are full-time professionals, dedicated to excellence, accountability, and results.
Our days start early and end late, immersed in the success of each project we take on. Every aircraft entrusted to us receives the same focus, care, and commitment we would expect for our own.
If you have a project in mind, we invite the conversation. Let’s discuss your goals and chart a clear course forward. Put our experience, network, and capabilities to work for you.
Thank you for considering RARE Aircraft as a resource.
